Ok, so about a month goes by and through a friend I heard Bank of America has/had this pay your bill on line account just for bills so I go there yesterday to open an account the lobby was pretty busy so I had about 4 people ahead me so the wait was about 30-40mins but whatever so is finally my turn the lady walks past me and said in Spanish whos next I put my hand up and said Im next in line. She then step to the side of me and asked the gentleman sitting in the chair, again in Spanish was she ahead of you, at this point I'm on fire she then says to me ok what you need I said I wanna open an account. She said well you still have someone ahead of you because they had an appointment but I'll take your I.D and make a copy, I gave her my passport and the whole time I'm waiting for her to bring it back I just got mad thinking about what just happened. I got my passport back and just walked out ! I'm not saying Bank of America is a bad bank as a whole but the branch on the corner of Broadway and Branchport Ave in Long Branch, it's like if those people even think that your not of some Spanish descent, they treat you very poorly and I'll NEVER go back to that bank again.
Been there twice in one month. .both occasions were not pleasant. First time I wanted to take my money off of my disability bank of America card. Lady at the front desk was just rude! I asked, hi I would like to take the money off this card, her response was how much money is on the cards, I said I'm not sure, gave her an estimate. Rudely she said how am I suppose to know. Confused, I said can't you just swipe it, she said no you have to take your money out the ATM. I then said does the ATM let you take out this much money and what about my change does it give back change. She said No check the card then come back to me, with an attitude. I was a little upset with the customer care services but not bothered because I bank with Wells Fargo anyways, didn't think I had to be bothered with those people every again. There was a couple talking with the teller next to me that wasn't happy with their customer services either !
Was just refused service trying to cash a BofA check, because I did not have an account.
Took my mom to get her check and they was rude and didn't do it said she was incompetent. Looking at me like i'm trying to rob her or something. My mother never got her money all she got was insults about her being incompetent. And they was rude to me and i'm her daughter taking care of her. I had a power of attorney paperwork and they wouldn't except it. They were hispanic and they was speaking in spanish to themselves too.
The people at this branch of BOA are very nice people and they are very professional very kind. Enjoy your visit.
