You will wait in line FOREVER! Prices are not competitive with much nicer stores in area. Staff is usually miserable. Worst grocery store experience EVER!
This Shop Rite is always nicely organized and most of the employees are very pleasant. Unfortunately the entrance can be a bit difficult to negotiate and it is always so busy that regardless of the time/day of your visit you may feel as though you are in a traffic jam of shopping carts. The lines are always long and on more than one occasion I have waited for over ten minutes only to find a female manager come over and direct the people (who have just gotten on line) behind me to a brand new cashier who was opened up his/her register. Years ago I remember when stores would open up a new line and know that those who have already been waiting should be taken first. It seems like such a simple concept; I have never said anything because I am not a confrontational person but instead just realized there are other stores where I can go where customers are treated appropriately. I am not looking for a place to treat me like a queen, just treat your customers with respect and have the intelligence go over to the people WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING to be taken first rather than going TO THE END OF THE LINE and literally directing them to the new register waiting for people. Sometimes visiting the seemingly less fabulous markets seems more appealing as a result. This Shop Rite used to be much better. If you want to go to a terrific Shop Rite then I suggest Middletown.
The store is large, clean and well managed albeit a bit dated looking. The produce and meats are generally very good with fairly competitive prices. The Deli department offers one of the largest selections in the area. This store is not as cheap as Aldis or as refined as Wegmans but when you factor in their selection, pricing, great sales they are are still arguably the best all around grocery store in the area.
I m good and i went to store in shopRite i first time. I look around a food and stuff thing wow.
An amazing store! Their variety, quality and sheer square footage of retail space leave them in a class of their own. Unmatched by and other Shoprite or retail chain.
